Explore the wonderful west with Aasleagh Lodge and Erriff Fishery – part of Delphi Resort Errif Fishery fishing season opening early on March 17th – 50% discount for March

Delphi Resort’s portfolio has recently grown with the latest exciting addition of Aasleagh Lodge and Erriff Fishery – a major step forward in Delphi Resort’s mission to be one of Europe’s leading adventure resorts.

The Erriff Fishery is comprised of the Erriff River and the two lakes of Tawnyard and Derrintin providing wonderful fishing in stunning surroundings. The River Erriff is one of the premier salmon fishing rivers in Ireland. A spate river, it is characterised by lively streams and deep fish-holding pools, with 8 miles of prime angling water divided into 9 beats, which are rotated amongst anglers on a daily basis. Fishing on the River Erriff is uncrowded with only two rods on most beats, and a maximum of 3 on the remainder.

Erriff Fishery rates are €95 per day on the Erriff River, €50 per day for 2 anglers on Derrintin (brown trout) and €70 per day for 2 anglers for Tawnyard Lough (Salmon and Sea Trout). The fishing season is also opening early this year on the 17th of March and fishing is discounted at 50% for the month of March.

On the River Erriff just outside Leenane, Connemara, Aasleagh Lodge is a beautifully restored 19th century Victorian country house, set in 36 acres of mature woodlands with magnificent views over Killary Harbour, with 9 spacious and comfortable bedrooms, 2 luxurious self catering apartments and access to top quality Wild Atlantic salmon fishing on the river nearby in Erriff Fishery. Previously part of the estate of the Marquis of Sligo, and a favourite of Lord Louis Mountbatten of Burma, Aasleagh Lodge and Erriff Fishery was until recently managed by Inland Fisheries Ireland.

Not only a base for angling, Aasleagh Lodge is right on the Western Way and is the ideal venue for exploring the region, on foot or on a bicycle, with miles of picturesque landscape to discover. Take in the crisp air and embark on a solo or group adventure, meandering through the countryside, up and down the rugged landscape, across the flatlands out to the breathtaking coastline.
