With the settled weather we are still getting reports of good fishing on the fly in Cork Harbour. Eire Bass Guide Richie Ryan has been making the most of what’s left of the season with his clients. Bass , cod , pollack and even some very large mackerel are being landed aboard his boat Sea Hawk.
Two clients this week got totally hooked on the sport to such an extent that they have gone and purchased saltwater fly rods. The guide is amazed that after only one session anglers are keen to take up this relatively new sport. On the other hand, the fly fishing has been so good this year it’s not surprising that the interest in the sport is gaining momentum.
