Dieter Johnen and Rene Bieniek from Germany returned once again to Melview Fishing lodge in Longford for their annual Pike fishing trip and this time decided to bring friends and Darius Atcham Peter Pleines along with them.
The first two days produced fish to 80cm and then things just started to get better for them as the week went on. Using float fish Roach dead baits they managed good size Pike in to the 80s and 90s and a good few fish over the 100cm and up to 106cm.
Kevin said at times the weather was rough for them but it did not put them off they just got on with it. A great weeks fishing for them and we hope to see them again next year, well done guys thanks again.
All fish returned unharmed.
