Kevin Lyons reports that two anglers from Holland, Henk Versteeg and friend Adrian were over for their annual pike fishing trip, and this time decided to stayed at Melview Fishing Lodge in Longford. The start of theirweek saw high winds making fishing for them a little difficult at times, and the last few days brought bright sun and still conditions which also proved to be difficult.

However, they managed a few good fish along with a lot of smaller pike, but it was still a good time had by all.

Kevin said “the guys fished with both hard and soft lures but it seemed at times that due to weather conditions the bigger fish were not in the feeding mood. I had the pleasure of a couple of days fishing with them and it was great fun, they caught the fish and I caught the sun. Thanks guys for a great weeks company and look forward to seeing you next year.”
