After the gales of previous weeks Carrowmore Lake was fishable again with sea trout and grilse running in good numbers. Particularly sea trout fishing was excellent for a time with fish up to 2.5 lbs. being caught. A few salmon were also caught. The best one of approx. 7 lbs. fell to regular visitor Paul de Neef from Belgium who was fishing Carrowmore together with his countryman Danny Verbessem who did an excellent job on the oars while Danny was playing his fish.
