South Shore SAC ran the last leg of their Christmas Fare on Sunday…
Turnout wasn’t great for the Christmas Fare match on Sunday , 3 December, but it was more than made up for with the quality of anglers.
The weather was unbelievably calm with bright sunshine and flat clear seas – unfortunately not ideal for shore angling . There were three zones were spread out over Kilcoole Beach. Hopes were high of good returns with a bigger tide than the previous week. Fishing wasn’t great and some lads struggled to get a counter on the card.
Paul “The trawler” Whelan managed to winkle out 11 fish from an unfavourable peg. His catch included a Flounder of 36cm to ensure him the win yet again. Congratulations big man – Great fishing. This win gave Paul the top spot in the Christmas Fare sponsored by Swords Angling.

Young Gordan Hardman secured longest round fish with a 34cm Coalie and of course “the trawler” Whelan had the longest flat with a 36cm Flounder.
A big thank you to all the sponsors who supported South Shore SAC during the year and not least of all the the anglers well done lads.
