Sean Jordan, bass guide in Co. Wexford, was in touch with a report on the annual visit of a group of Welsh bass anglers.
Returning north Wales crew Jason, Shaun, Russ, & Alun, had some good fishing on their week over the new moon tides last week. Alun had a PB Bass of 73cm on his trusty Feed Shallow lure.
Not to be out done Russ also had a 73cm the morning after on a surface lure, it fell for a MC Gunfish. They were the best fish of the week, along with a couple of 60’s, the majority of the fish were in the 40’s. Two cracking evening, & morning sessions coincided with spawning sandeel activity – nothing big, but fast & furious sport, some of the bass were coughing up sandeel whilst being unhooked, & released….
“Put us down for them tides next year Sean”, said big Al, as he waited for his pint of first Guinness to settle on their last night at the local watering hole!
