TJ, of TJ’s angling, reports that the pike fishing is picking up on Lough Derg and from what we are seeing there are are good catches coming in from a number of areas on the lake. On April 17th there were a lot of jacks about but they finished with 6 good pike to 103cm.
Paul Bourke, Irish Fishing Tours, was also out during the week (ahead of the big competition on Lough Ree) and though there was just a small feeding window, they made the most of it chacthicn some very clean looking fish.
At the weekend TJ had some more good pike fishing with French angler Nicholas, from Bordeaux, who had another pike of 103cm.
Early this week Cedric Charpentier, Peche Irlande Passion, was out with clients and they also met good fish on a variety of lures.
