Brendan Jervis reports on the first competiton of the year fished by the Newbridge and District Pike Anglers…
25 January: We had 11 members make it for 1st competition of the year; the Cullen Cup. Weather was not on our side with a lot of rain that has fallen. The water levels at the venue were well up with only limited bank space.
Fishing was very slow and only 9 fish were landed. Still, there was some good craic had on the day. Thanks to all the members that made the trip.

- 1st Ciaran Sullvan 15.07lb bag 2 fish (includes 11.12lb Heaviest Fish)
- 2nd Dave Murphy 17.04lb 3 fish
- 3rd Brendan Jervis 14.04lb 2 fish
