In the last 2 weeks the fishing off Wicklow has improved massively. Tope showed up 2 weeks ago in Wicklow Bay, the first coming to Collie Ennis of the Rusty Hooks crew.
More Tope were landed by Dutch guests Piet and his Father with 4 hooked, 2 landed in Wicklow Bay.
The good run continued into last week with 5 Tope, 2 Ray, BullHuss and about a dozen Smooth Hound to 96cm and 6lb for German Father & Son Harmut & Adrian.
Adrian got his first Tope and Hound and takes the Wicklow Boat Charters Polo Top. There’s another top coming for the first Specimen Hound.
Inshore the rough ground has started to produce a few Pollock, Coaly, Pouting, whiting and Poor Cod.
