Camlin and District Anglers report on their George Wenman memorial competition fished on Lough Forbes…
The George Wenman memorial competition was held today on Lough Forbes. There was a great turnout of 21 boats. A minutes silence was observed at the beginning of the competition to remember Matty Grey. Thanks to Trevor and Mary Tomsett for their continued support and use of their property to launch and to The Casle Inn Newtownforbes for the refreshments and the venue for the presentations.
The following are the results;
- 1st Sam Champ and Dennis Flynn 296 cm
- 2nd Mick and Andrew Dalton 286.5 cm
- 3rd Joe Mc Dermott and Pat Healy 283 cm
- 4th Marty Cosworth, Michael Mc Keown and John Boyle 281 cm
Fisherman of the Year 2018 was Joe Mc Dermott.
Well done to all the prizewinners and thanks to all who attended.
Our AGM will be coming up before the end of the month and we would hope to have a good turnout for this.
