Milltown Lake has a serious reputation for big pike. They started 2018 with a great big pike story and this year is no different…
Fishing took place on 27 December for the annual Castleblayney Anglers Christmas competition. Anglers young and old battled high water for the Laugheran Cup. One man blew the competition away when he banked a monster.
Ronan Murray ran away with first place with a fish tipping the scale at a whopping 36lb 4oz , 2nd to Peadar O’Meallain with a beauty at 20lb 2oz and 3rd to John Rooney with a 11lb 3oz pike.
The club would like to thank all that took part and everyone that supported the club over the last year. Hoping everyone a very happy new year and tight lines for 2019.
Go fishing…
