We want to thank all the anglers who took part in the Festival and made it a hugely successful and enjoyable event. It is always great to see the level of camaraderie among the anglers despite the fact that you are in competition against each other, some of the banter would have you in stitches and yet everybody always looks out for everybody else.

A big thank you to Arnold, Oisin and the lads from Inland Fisheries Ireland who were on hand to prevent the spread of invasive species as well as checking the boats to make sure that everything was above board bait wise. They were also on the lake keeping an eye out and were on hand to help an angler who broke down and needed to be rescued.

Thank you also to the venues we used, Mick Murphy at the Coosan Tavern, Tom and Pascal at the Bounty Bar and Carita at the Lough Ree Inn. Special thanks to Carita who baked a special cake to mark the 10th anniversary of the Festival.

Thanks also to Westmeath County Council who each year sponsor the event which makes it possible to run at this level.
Thanks to Brian Connaughton of Wildhunter Athlone & Galway and Savage Gear for providing the hats that everybody received yesterday and the rods that were raffled last night.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year and the dates to put in your diary are the 22nd, 23rd and 24th April 2020.
