Dan O’Neill reports from the Nore…

31 May: This week the river has hit its highest temp of 14.8 degrees and it certainly showed. Some sedges gathered in behind bushes and branches that were pushing out into the river. I only got out for a short while at the weekend but a few of the club members were out and had a few nice trout. Most fish were taken were on olive nymphs with a few falling to a black pheasant tail with a glo brite no5 hotspot under the tail.

The water is quite high but dropping back steadily, with a bit of luck it will make for good conditions by the weekend.
