The Leinster Pike Anglers were on a river venue last weekend as they fished the latest leg of their competition schedule. And, some welcome spring sunshine meant that a few anglers had red faces by the end of the day. Fishing was a bit of a struggle, with plenty of jacks showing, but bigger fish were few and far between. Simon Rosbotham managed the biggest fish of the day with a pike of 13.3 lbs, and Fran Crosbie had another decent fish of just over 9.5lbs.
