There were two salmon reported on Beat 2 of the River Laune, weighing 20lbs and 11lbs, both caught spinning. One grilse was had by a Limerick angler weighing 4lbs spinning on Beat 2 of the Laune while another grilse weighing 4.5lbs was caught by a Cork angler on worms on Beat 1 of the Laune.
On the Killarney lakes there were five grilse caught by trolling rods, those fish averaging 5lbs. Two salmon were caught by Tralee anglers weighing 8lbs and 10lbs.
