CM Lakelands Feeder Club are Ireland’s feeder club champions.
The world class BLUE team – consisting of Brenton Sweeney, Charlie Richards, Steven Whyte, James O’Doherty and Piotr Horbinski – also qualify for a place at the World Championships of 2025, which will be held in Serbia.
Nytro Fishing Ireland team members Rory Dunne, Tommy Dowd, Dara Finnegan, Joe Nolan and Richard Pratt led the way after day one, 10 points ahead of CM Lakelands Feeder Club BLUE team, but day two of the championship saw section wins for Charlie Richards, James O’Doherty and Steven Whyte pushing the CM Lakelands BLUE team to finish with a fantastic total of 19 posts.
Runners-up Nytro Fishing Ireland finished in second place with 22pts and have the chance to be Ireland’s second team at the World Championship in Serbia next year.
The five teams representing four clubs from across the provinces met in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim to fish local venues on Lough Allen and the River Shannon.
Finishing first in section on both days Rory Dunne was first individual with 16.930kg. In second place was Charlie Richards with 14.700 and Robertas Zilaitis with 13.425.
