Tickets for the qualifier rounds for the Van Den Eynde Irish Canal Masters are on sale now and are selling fast. Competition dates, prizes and other details are listed below. There are only a handful of spaces left for the Enfield qualifier, and all three qualifiers are expected to sell out, so if you want to put your name down, you better sign up quickly!

We have brought forward the date of the Grand Final by one week. The Final will now take place on Sunday 15th September. Please take note of this date change.
We are proud to reveal details for the 2024 Irish Canal Masters
Firstly we are delighted to announce the competition will now be called the Van Den Eynde Irish Canal Masters. We would like to thank Jack Tisdall and Mark Theedom, of Marcel Van Den Eynde Ireland , for their generous sponsorship of the perpetual winners trophy.
“Van Den Eynde Ireland is delighted to be involved in the sponsorship of the Irish Canal Masters event and commend the Monasterevin club for highlighting canal fishing with this excellent series of matches” said Jack Tisdall.
This years format will consist of 3 qualifying rounds and a final, all to take place in Ireland. Many thanks to the 3 clubs who are hosting the qualifiers;
Round 1-Saturday 4th May- Enfield,
Round 2-Sunday 16th June- Daingean,
Round 3-Sunday 4th August- Athy,
Final – Sunday 15th September- Monasterevin.
Each qualifier, based on 30 anglers fishing, will be split into three 10 peg sections, with top 3 in each section qualifying for the final along with the best 4th section weight, giving a total of 10 qualifiers. Over 3 qualifiers this will result in a final of 30 anglers.
Entry fee 30 euro per qualifier.
Pools fee 20 euro on the day of qualifier and final.
Proposed payout is based on 30 anglers per qualifier:
Final – 1st place- €1500 euro
2nd place – €600 euro
3rd place – €400 euro
4th place – €200 euro
Qualifier and final pools money on the day, based on 30 anglers fishing;
€50 euro every 5 pegs
1st – 150 euro
2nd – 90 euro
3rd – 60 euro
All anglers finishing in the main prize list, section will pass down to next angler by default in all qualifiers and the final.
All matches will take place over 5 hours. Bloodworm, joker, pellets and boilies are not allowed. Eels do not count and should be released immediately if caught.
Anglers are asked not to fish venues on a Thursday and Friday prior to the qualifiers and final weekends.

We expect this exciting event to fill up fast so please book in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Remember, there are 3 different qualifiers over the Summer months so there are plenty of chances to make the final. If you don’t qualify for the final in the first qualifier you can also try again in the second or third qualifiers.
