Munster Coarse Anglers fished what is probably the the toughest 2 days of fishing we have ever reported on in the Irish Angling Update. Kevin Leahy reports…

Lough Bridget

Not every day do you get over half the field getting in to the prizes but this weekend’s match was a bit a of a exception with 7 dry nets over the two days and every angler left frustrated and wondering what to do to get a bite!

Normally Lough Bridget fishes well this time of year with lots of small Roach ,Rudd, Hybrids and Skimmers not this year alas. In fact the Silvergrove section was almost devoid of anything only two small fish caught on day one and on day 2 only two anglers managed to put a few in the net.

Likewise Swan Island was not much better a few fish on the feeder in the first couple of hours and then nothing. Swan Island peg 4 produced small rudd and a inevitable battle with Pike the most consistent over the two days
