Prolific YouTuber and all round lure angler, Senan Stanley, has had another busy week this past seven days as his guests targeted pike, trout and perch on Lough Derg. Early in the week, while fishing with little jigs, they finished with 10 trout to 42cm, 50 perch to 32cm, 7 pike and a random roach who took a shine to the little lure.
Over the weekend, it was the big girls they were after, with some great pike landed (109cm, 106cm and three nineties) before they switched to trout and perch. Senan reckons that early starts are a must when the daytime water temperatures are on the high side, and the results are there to see.
Not happy with his week’s work, Senan also released a new video on his YouTube channel to show newcomers to the sport that you don’t have to break the bank to get started in fishing, as he lands plenty of trout on a midlands stream on a rod that cost as much as a sandwich and a cup of tea!
