Joe Fitzharris reports on Lough O’Flynn’s Maloney/Keady Cup…
Anglers were introduced to Autumn with falling leaves, high water, and a biting northerly wind when fishing the annual Maloney/Keady Cup recently.
Fishing was slow on the day. Nevertheless, as usual a few lucky anglers got fish. Best flies on the day were Green Peter and Malone Daddy fished dry, and silver dabbers & Humongous fished wet.
Results as follows,
- 1st Michael McDermott, 1lb 13.8 oz.
- 2nd Damien Macklin, 1lb 11.8 oz.
- 3rd Mark Malone, 1lb 10.0 oz.,
Secret weight winner was Anton Stephens.
