Peter Driver of Piscari Fly is back with his weekly roundup of the fishing scene
How’s The Fishing?
River Nore
Fishing is still steady enough even though this rain is not making too much of an impression on river levels. However the fishing is ok overall. Ricky and a few other customers out on the rivers of late picking up some nice fish and hopefully we will get another good bit of water soon which will really give us a good run into the end of September. Ricky got this cracker while out on the rivers.

Keith was fishing on the Nore he said it fished well with the little bit of fresh water. He managed to capture a couple of sea trout as a bonus.
Slovenia
Mark, Dave, Jamie and a few of the lads are in Slovenia at the minute for a weeks fishing. They are having some good fishing in between the thunderstorms. There are lots of thunderstorms at the moment so some of the rivers are a bit higher than they were expecting. However, they are still managing to get good fishing and having a good time out there in Slovenia. They are back on Thursday.
All Ireland Youths
The All Ireland Youths that was scheduled for last weekend had a little bit of a change with the weather that was coming in. The Federation cancelled the river event, however, the lake event went ahead. Congratulations to everyone that took part and stuck it out in those bad conditions and it wasn’t easy going. Congratulations to all the winners and well done to everyone who qualified for team Ireland next year.
