Mark Gannon reports on the charterboat fishing with Courtmacsherry Angling Centre…

It’s been a few tough weeks coping with all the low pressure systems coming across the Atlantic playing havoc with our groups chartering the Lady Louise and Lady Patricia.

On Tuesday (16 September) we managed to get out to sea with a group led by Luc Morris, a regular whose been coming to Courtmacsherry for over 20 years. He was joined by Rinus Hage who is on his 2nd visit and has also been enjoying fishing holidays in Courtmacsherry for over 50 years. Together with Robert, Marc, Raf, Guy, Willie and Irish angler Paul Cusack they fished from 0900 to 1600 hrs. Pollack very scarce with Bullhuss, Ling, dogfish and a nice spurdog for Paul making up the catch.

The weather is due to be kinder to us on Friday and prospects next week are looking good. Maybe a chance to go south for something big or a Tuna!
