A few pike angling clubs were busy over the past week, and here are some reports of the various club competitions held:

The Limerick County Pike Anglers held their most recent competition on Sunday, the 26th of October. They had a slow enough day, with only four fish caught. Paul Moloney came first with a fish of 09lb 04oz, which also won the heaviest fish.

Some members of the Ardee Pike Anglers fished the Packie Gibson Memorial 2-day boat competition. Niall Kelly and Gerard Deery took 1st place.

The Leinster Pike Angling Club held the second leg of their Winter League last Sunday on a river venue.

Fishing was hard, but some decent fish were caught and released safely.
Overall results of the day:
1st Anthony Byrne 11fish for 30lb.9
2nd Jan Rutkowski 9fish for 30lb.3
3rd Rodney Gaynor 8fish for 28lb.7
