Angling Guide Kevin Lyons reports on pike fishing during the week at Melview Lodge :

Ben Habekotte from Kampen city in Holland had to work hard during his stay this year, Ben who is a regular visitor to Melview Lodge in Longford had to do battle with some very bad weather that Ireland has been experiencing over the past weeks. He was rewarded with a 21lb 9oz fish which was his largest fish of his 5 days stay.

Jean-Pierre from Belgium who visits Melview Lodge two or three times a year with son Nick also found the fishing hard going during the heavy rain and winds we have had here in Ireland, out of six days fishing their was only one calm day. But they will return later in the year hoping to get better weather.
