There were lots of people out and about in Drogheda today with the Giro d’Italia and First Holy Communion taking place over the weekend. There was a great atmosphere in Scotch Hall as children and adults visited the information centre and fish display tanks to see what was happening. Members of the youth cafe in Drogheda dropped in to see the fish display tanks and have a chat with the staff on the stand.

There were excellent numbers of sign ups for events, from the junior fishing evening in Barnattin, the Ladies Fly Casting Day at Kilineer and  Sea Angling events at Clogherhead. There was no shortage of interest and the coloring competition and raffle proved very popular.

A big thank you to the Staff and Management of Scotch Hall without whose assistance and encouragement the event could not have been as successful as it proved to be. This is the second year of the event at Scotch Hall and it is hoped that we will be back again next year.

There is a very ambitious calendar of events again this year in the Drogheda area and details of all the events can be found at www.faw.ie
