Notes: With Ryans River Lodge fishing is tailor made to your specifications and we can arrange for any special needs or requirements you may have. We have vast experience and use only the very best guides who know the best fishing grounds on Lough Corrib and Lough Mask .
We can fish for any species of fish with new, modern methods, but we also use old methods that have been handed down from older generations. It is a learning experience and a fishing holiday you will not forget.

Notes: A holder of the Marine & Countryside Guide Certificate, Frank is one of Lough Corrib’s famous boat men and guides. Boats and engines arranged for fishing the western lakes in particular Lough Corrib.

Guide and Instructor for trout and salmon fishing STANIC
Notes Tom has a STANIC Instructor’s Certificate and offers qualified casting instruction. Based on the shores of Lough Corrib he provides guided fishing and a boat hire service for the lake. Guided fishing on Lough Mask is available. Tom also specialises in Specimen Trout/Ferox Trout fishing.

Notes PAGI: For the beginner Brian can provide instruction in basic fly-casting techniques. During the season, professional guidance can be given to ensure a successful day’s angling whether it is fishing Lough Corrib, one of the numerous small lakes of the neighbouring Connemara area for sea trout, small wild brown trout or the chance of a salmon. Accommodation is arranged and boats and engines provided.

We are located on the western shores of Lough Corrib, one of Europe’s best Trout & Salmon lakes which fishes from 15th Feb through to 30th Sept. From October through the winter months Pike Fishing on Fly or Bait can be arranged.
Angling & Boating on Lough Corrib
Padraig looks after the Angling and Boating facilities providing guiding services and boat & engine hire. Padraig has 35 years of experience fishing on Lough Corrib and has fished for the Irish International Fly Fishing teams over many years. On Lough Corrib he specialises in early season Duck Fly, Olive and Mayfly hatches, Buzzer and Caenis fishing and later on in the season sedge hatches. There is a Drying Room available for Wet Gear.
Birchall Lodge & Angling on Lough Corrib is ideally situated in between the lower and upper lake giving one an ideal opportunity to fish here. We have private access to the lake with its own moorings. As an alternative to your fishing trip, we can arrange Sea Trout and Salmon Fishing & Guiding on Connemara Lakes.

Notes : Based on the shores of Lough Corrib accomodation is arranged and boats and engines provided. Basil’s flies are tied for the Western Lakes. Basil is a first class angler and boatman who has qualified many rods at the World Cup on Lough Mask over several years.

Boatman and guide on Lough Corrib
Notes: Gerry was born on the shores of Lough Corrib and has been a Guide on the Lake all his life as has his father and grandfather He has an expert knowledge of the lake and a vast experience in all types of fishing and is an experienced flytyer. Fishing for the much sought after ‘Ferox’ is another of his specialities.
Boat Hire
19 ft Corrib Boats, min Outboard size 6 hp, moored on prime fishing ground.
Boats will only be hired out to people who have experience with similar boats and outboards.
For people who are not familiar with the lake we recommend the services of a fishing Guide.

I have been fly angling all over Ireland but for the last 20 plus years mostly in Corrib /Mask area. I am also have fished internationally in the UK, Europe and Asia principally on my own but also as an Irish Team member. I have extensive experience of fishing the main lakes in the west of Ireland and I can use that experience to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable days fishing on what some consider the best brown trout waters in the world plus we have salmon fishing in the vicinity too.
Tackle, Pick Up /Drop off can be arranged – we can cater for any level of angling experience

Ceri has 35 years of experience fishing Lough Corrib. As well as being a passionate flyfisherman, he also specializes in catching large brown trout and is the holder of the Lough Corrib Ferox Trout, a specimen of 23lb 12oz.
He runs guided days both for flyfishing and ferox.
All guiding can be arranged in half-day or full-day sessions for one or two anglers, and tackle can also be provided.
In Ireland, lunch on an island is an important part of the day. It’s good to take a break, whether it’s a Kelly Kettle brew, a packed lunch, or an alfresco Corrib lunch cooked on an open fire, all can be arranged.
Ceri has gained much success on the competition scene, including National Champion, International caps, plus National Coach. He also runs the UK and Ireland’s leading Flyfishing podcast: Casting with Ceri Jones

Notes Patrick has fished lough corrib and lough mask all his life. his family have been fishing the loughs for generations. Patrick worked for 10 years for the western fisheries board and knows the loughs like no other. Patrick is one of the best fly-fisherman on the loughs and an expert at trolling for ferox and pike.

Notes: Larry and his team are top quality Guides, many of whom have fished for their country. These Gillies or Guides know every nook and cranny of Corrib, Mask and Carra and will work hard all day to make sure you get the opportunity to catch your fair share of lively wild brown trout. The Clare and Robe rivers offer some excellent Salmon or evening Dry Fly fishing. We enjoy some fabulous fly-fishing all year round for pike.
