Birchall Lodge & Angling on Lough Corrib is ideally situated in between the lower and upper lake giving one an ideal opportunity to fish here. We have private access to the lake with its own moorings. As an alternative to your fishing trip, we can arrange Sea Trout and Salmon Fishing & Guiding on Connemara Lakes.

Notes
Trout, Salmon and Pike fishing ghillies
Notes: Larry and his team are top quality Guides, many of whom have fished for their country. These Gillies or Guides know every nook and cranny of Corrib, Mask and Carra and will work hard all day to make sure you get the opportunity to catch your fair share of lively wild brown trout. The Clare and Robe rivers offer some excellent Salmon or evening Dry Fly fishing. We enjoy some fabulous fly-fishing all year round for pike.
Notes
Currarevagh has its own traditionally built clinker boats which our guests can use at any time. If you would like an outboard this costs E80.00 per day including fuel, and experience of outboards is a must.
Find out more about Currarevagh House’s boat for hire here.
For anyone not familiar with the lake we recommend the services of a ghillie (Fishing Guide) which we shall organise for you. He has expert knowledge of the lake, knows the conditions for fishing and can give advice on flies, baits and so on. He will have his own boat and outboard motor together with a good supply of necessary tackle and rods. They are super fishermen themselves, good company and happy to give lessons to complete novices.
Notes
A Trout Anglers paradise due to the location on Lough Corrib & proximity to Lough Mask.
Guests wishing to fish or do some pleasure boating on the lake can avail of the Private Pier & Boathouse at Dooroy Lodge. Boats and Engines are available for hire together with life jackets.
