River Drowes quiet but some grilse taken

04/09 There were few rods in attendance this week on the Drowes. There was however a run of fresh grilse that came into the fishery with a number of anglers reporting catching fresh grilse up to 5lb or so.

tope

Stephen Hayden was fishing with friends off Bray for mackerel and tope when he had a great run of luck. Everyone on the boat got tope and they were all good fish, but the highlight of the day was a double hook up. The lucky anglers managed to get both fish to the boat and they weighed 42lb and 54lb. Stephen caught the bigger tope and this wins him Catch of the Week.
