Ballymote Area
The Ballymote area offers a good variety of coarse fishing with pike also present. Venues include the Owenmore River, and the Ballinascarrow, Cloonacleigha and Andrea loughs.
Owenmore River
The Cluid Stretch is a very accessible location situated 2 miles outside Ballymote on the Ballinacarrow road. Good shoals of coarse fish attract pike to the area.
The Competition Stretch is 3 miles from Ballymote. It holds large sized bream, hybrids, rudd, pike and perch.
Ballinascarrow Lake
Ballinascarrow Lake is just one mile east of Ballymote. This lake has large stocks of bream, rudd and hybrids. The lake has excellent facilities including a car park, angling stands and stiles.
Ardrea Lake
This is a small lake 2 miles north of Ballymote. It holds large stocks of bream, rudd, hybrids, specimen tench, perch and pike. This lake is very accessible with angling stands along the shore road.
Cloonacleigha Lake
Situated 4 miles west of Ballymote oppposite Templehouse Lake is Cloonacleigha Lake. The lake covers almost 30 acres. There is a slipway for launching boats. Pike over 20lbs are common in this lake.
Templehouse Lake
Templehouse Lake is 4 miles north of Ballymote. This lake is best fished from the Kilbrattan shore. Permission has been granted by Mr. Roderick Perceval to fish for the lakes excellents stock of bream and its pike and rudd. Boats and motors are available to rent from

Lough Augh, Black Lough and White Lough
Lough Augh, Black Lough and White Lough all hold stocks of pike. Lough Augh is situated about one mile east of Lough Arrow. Black Lough and White Lough are about two miles further east.
Manorhamilton Area
Glenade Lake, Belhavel Lake and Corrigeencor have good stocks of mainly pike and some coarse fish.
