In the annual Interagency sea angling challenge held this year at Cobh, the team from Inland Fisheries Ireland from Macroom won the team prize ahead of the Sea Fisheries Protection Agency (SFPA) with the team from Inland Fisheries Ireland from Ballyshannon taking third place. Dan Lynch fishing on the winning team won the individual prize in a wonderful day’s deep sea fishing for all 26 anglers taking part. Skippers Joe Lynch, Pat Condon and Donal Geary provided the boats on the day and ensured all participants fished in good areas inside and outside the Cork Harbour area. The prizegiving took place in the Bellavista Hotel in Cobh.
