WHAT A CATCH – Ballyragget man Paddy Phelan, 3 Smiths Road has become the first ever Irish man to win the Rene Baltus Wissel – Trophy for fishing in Holland. Paddy who has been going over to Holland for the last 14 years and has only entered the competition twice, once in 2011 and this year 2012 when he landed the big one. The competition which is a one day sea fishing affair took place in Denhelder, Holland. Twenty-five locals and Paddy set off early in the morning and fished until late afternoon on the boat “The Rival”…….
