Pike fishing is slow on Lough Derg in the difficult weather conditions.

Lough Derg – Angling is slow at the moment due to weather and flooding level.  The anglers on Lough Derg are generally catching small pike – 11 were reported to have been caught last week.

Predator Tour Ireland.  In September this year the international Predator Tour competition will be help once again on Lough Derg – based in Killaloe.  This competition was held last year and due to its success it is now to become an annual event.  The competition, which is a “Catch-Photo-Release competition”, is being advertised throughout Europe at the moment and they are looking for representatives from every country to participate.  The event is due to be held on the 24^th, 25^th and 26^th September.
