Kevin Lyons reports on the latest pike fishing for his guests on the loughs in the Longford area near Melview Lodge.
Eddy Maes and friend Ivan from Belgium were here once again for their annual fishing trip and to stay with Kevin and Jane at Melview Lodge in Longford, due to the up and down of the temperatures things were slow to get going. However they managed 65 Pike to 21 lb. during their stay, the bigger fish fell to float fished dead baits and the rest on lures and jerk baits. Their catch numbers were down on last years 108 but this was due to the weather, Kevin said the lads done well considering the weather and I’m sure we will see them back next year.
