Angling ghillie and guide Vincent Appleby reports from Lough Currane

/2/12 All quiet on the SW front, and no reports of any real rod benders.

/2/12 Not a lot to report except my Noble Anglers failed miserably in their duties in procuring my old Gentlemen the Salmon. Wind north light to fresh with the odd light shower.

/2/12 All quiet in all departments. Wind NW light to fresh and overcast with the odd light shower.

/2/12 There were a few boats out manipulating their Repala’s and their Flies, but alas all failed miserably in their duties, failed or not, I can tell you one thing it won’t be long before my Noble gentlemen will be heating up the key board on my pc and I have spoken and that’s it. Wind WNW light and overcast with light mist rain.

/2/12 All quiet on the SW front. Wind SW light to fresh and overcast with heavy rain at times.

/2/12 There were a few boats manipulating, and all failed miserably in their duties be it fly or troll, Mr. Michael O’Sullivan of Waterville Boats  – [email protected] reported to me that on of his boats caught a Kelt on the troll and it was such a good Kelt. Wind NW fresh to strong with the odd shower.

/2/12 Lough Currane was on the quiet side, except for the odd Kelt being caught. Wind NW light to calm with reasonable cloud cover with the odd light shower. That is your ration for this week, from your Gillie/Guide and the Waterville fishery. No Spin No Fly’s just facts
