Pat Collins was out fishing near Dunmore-East in Co Waterford for Ballan Wrasse on Saturday. Pat tells us “1 hour after high water I was using rag worm as bait. I didn’t get a bite for about 20 mins but after I caught 2 or 3 small wrasse all hell broke loose and after about 5 mins I landed this.
About 20 minutes and a few more small fish I hooked another one nearly as big as one in pics but lost it after a couple of minutes. I estimate the fish to be 52 cm in length and a girth of 48 cm . Probably between 5 – 7 lbs”
