On Sat 7th July ESB International hit the High Sea’s off Wicklow. Local ESB Employee and Carrickmacross Club Angler Kieran Roche took to the Seas off Wicklow with ESB International Angling Club. The Club members travelled to Wicklow harbour and were met by local Skipper Kit Dunne and his trusty boat Lisin 1 of Wicklow Boat Charters. After a short journey South along the Wicklow coastline Kit set anchor and the fishing began. Within 2 min of Kieran setting his bait on the bottom he was into a fish, yes he had a run and struck. Little did he think 2 hrs later he would still be battling with what was to be a specimen Tope. The epic battle lasted for a full 2hrs 15min. Kieran eventually won the battle.
