Anglers may be interested to learn that the mayfly has just made its annual appearance on the pristine 16-acre put-and-take lake operated by Pat Stack in Ballinderry.

Anglers visiting the lake, known as the North Tipperary Angling Centre, are enjoying excellent top-of-the-water sport on the hard fighting and full-finned rainbow trout. Michael Herriott from Nenagh and his nephew had a good number of trout on wet olives and mayfly patters last week.  Paul Hegarty and his brother-in-law Liam from Dublin caught plenty of trout on F-flies and daddies.

Bobby Keyes from Ballywilliam, Nenagh,  and his boat partner Bobby McLoughlin had fish on mayfly nymphs while Peter Daly and his cousin Frank from Littleton had trout on small nymphs and lures, as well as a few on dry fly.

Pat Stack says lots of fish are moving on the surface at present. To book contact Pat on 087-2756775.

Compliments of Peter Gleeson, Nenagh Guardian
