Last year the International Sport Fly Fishing Federation FIPS Mouche chose Ireland as the destination for the 23rd FIPS Mouche YOUTH World Fly Fishing Championship 2026. This prestigious event will be hosted by TAFI in County Donegal and County Tyrone
This competition was last held in Ireland in 2013, again as a cross-border competition and we welcomed nine teams from all over the world. This time 11 nations will be competing. There will be 9 in the U-19s and 7 in the U-24s.
Congratulations to Rosses Anglers Association who will be providing a number of venues for the competition and the headquarters for the event at Ballybofey.
Good luck to all the competitors. Donegal has a wildness and beauty all of its own, where the fishing for wild brown trout will challenge your skill to the full.
