Cashel Trout Fishery report by Marlene Mc Laughlin

Although we have been having quite unsettled weather anglers are still keen to give Cashel a throw and hoping to catch at least one tagged trout to the value of £50.   Dungiven’s Shane Irwin released two which fell to klinkhammers while Derry’s Billy Hazlett released five which took wee buzzers.  Patrick McDaid and Paul Bradley also from Derry and on their first visit to Cashel used bloodworms to make their catches which averaged 2 lb. in weight.  Liam, Henry and Seamus Kelly (Derry) released about half a dozen trout between them while young lad James Wilkinson, also on his first visit, did quite well releasing three lovely trout which took small lures.

We have a great selection of rods, reels and tackle at keen prices for that special someone

Rod licences for sale i.e. blue tags.
