Last Sunday Derravaragh Anglers hosted the Johnny Owens Cup for pike. It was a tough day on the pike scene, and I had a fantastic “Blank”. On the day Mullingar resident Peter Farbula originally from Slovakia produced a fine pike of 12lbs 3oz to take Top Rod. Well known Mullingar Sea Angler Eddie O, Donnell finished 2nd with 4lbs15oz, and Barry Darby 3rd with 4lbs 4oz.
Joe Keena Secretary of Derravaragh Anglers thanked all who supported the competition, and Liam Gilsenan presented the prizes at Donore Shore.
