Kevin Lyons reports on a party  who fished on waters near Melview Lodge in Longford:

Mark Whiteside and friend Kerry were down from Northern Ireland for a few days Pike fishing staying once again with Kevin and Jane at Melview Lodge in Longford, they braved the high winds and used every method available to them. Mark had some smaller male Pike but it was friend Kerry that came out on top this time using the fly. Kerry had some nice Pike on his light fly tackle but he had a nice surprise waiting for him when he decided to switch to Roach dead bait, trotting a float fished dead roach just off the bottom he hooked into what he thought to be a good Pike but it turned out to be a cracking Trout of 6lb.

Next week we see how father and son Belgium Pike anglers have managed to get on during their stay at Melview Lodge.
