From his blog at wwwsalmonandseatroutphotos.blogspot.com ghillie Vincent Appleby reports on fishing trends from Lough Currane

27/08 All quiet on the SW front, or you could say it was the turn of the Anglers to have their Charlie Chaplin day, in other words my Noble anglers were fishing like a bunch of comedians’ and if this is not the case start catching My Noble Game Fish so the Paparazzi can do their job.

26/8/13 Straight to the Sea trout C&R department, Mr, David Burton caught 2 Juniors on the drift, while fishing with his gillie Mr. Tom O’Sheaofwww.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com staying with the Sea trout, Mr. Peter McNeil of the UK fishing with his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddyof www.fishingwithdom.comalso caught two Juniors.

Charlie Chaplin Festival in Waterville
Charlie Chaplin ComedyFestival in Waterville proved that the fish weren't the only jokers around the lake at the weekend

25/8/13Lough Currane did see a little bit of action, so we go straight to the hired out boat department of Waterville Boats and at [email protected] The Lough Leane Anglers saw some good action in the Sea Trout fly department with the best weighing in at 3 lbs and also met a good few, but taking short, they also met a few Brown Trout. Staying in the Sea trout department, Mr. David Burton caught 1 Junior on the drift, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com Now we head down stream to the Charlie Chaplin Comedy Festival and as you can see Waterville went for a world record for the most Charlie Chaplin’s assembled, but sadly they didn’t

24/8/13 Its another Faulty Towers day on the Waterville Fishery. I know nothing, and they catch nothing, and if they did catch my Noble Game Fish, they failed miserably in their duties in reporting their catches.

23/8/13 Breaking News Butler Pool Local gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com reported that there were eight boats out manipulating and there were no reports of any real rod benders. So we will head down stream to the famous Butler Pool and of www.watervillegolflinks.ie Mr. Dennis Dennehy, fishing with his gillie Mr. John Murphy, caught a fine Salmon on the fly.  Wind NW with reasonable cloud cover, with the odd light shower.

That is your ration for this week, from your Gillie/Guide and the Waterville fishery.

No Spin No Fly’s just facts.
