Wednesday to Sunday (24/03)  last saw strong easterlies lashing across Lough Currane and salmon nor sea trout would take a fly or any lure on troll. But on Monday there was a bit of a change and the fish started biting as Vincent Applebey reports…

25/03 There was  some good action on Lough Currane with Mr, Tommy Duggan taking all the head lines with two fresh Salmon caught one on the troll and one on the fly, which is the first Salmon caught on the Lake. On a personal note I would like to apologise to Tom and his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy and of  www.fishingwithdom.com for not taking a photo, the reason being I have a bad bought of flu. Wind SE fresh and very cold.

26/03 Mr. Tommy Duggan and his gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy and of www.fishingwithdom.com were in great form again in the trolling department and for good reason they caught a 19 lbs and finished their day with a fresh 8lbs also caught on the troll. Now we cut across to [email protected] And Mr. Eric Jouen caught a fine 10 lbs also on the troll, wind E and very cold

That is your ration for this week, from your Gillie/Guide and the Waterville fishery.
