Ghille Vincent Appleby reports from his blog on Lough Currane:

01/08/2013: Made another big flood this morning, will give amount of rainfall tomorrow. Yesterdays rainfall was 23.6 mm. Now for today’s facts, in the Salmon C&R department, Mr. Drew Brown caught a fine Grilse on the fly, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Bob Priestley, and sportingly put my Noble Gentlemen back so he could continue his journey to the spawning grounds. Now to the evening shift, Mr. Mark Knowles of the UK, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy of www.fishingwithdom.com caught a fine 6lbs Grilse and finished their evening off with 3 Sea trout ranging from Juniors up to 3 lbs. Wind S fresh and overcast all day. Now to the lost Boat department? I was down at the Bog, and a good job I was, because some angler forgot to tie his boat and it was full of water and drifted  out into the lake and luckily the wind blew it back into the Bog and here is the picture of your boat properly secured, I hope.

06/08/2013: All quiet On the SW front. Just for the record there were a few Anglers on the Inny, but sadly they have failed to report there catches and if they didn’t catch any Salmon, they still failed miserably in their duties. So here are two photos of a C&R of a Grilse and wild life on Lough Currane, photos were taken and sent to me by Mr. Andrew Brown.
