Frank Maunsell of the Owenmore Fishery in Co. Kerry reports that the water levels are at their lowest for years but even so the lower pools are absolutely stuffed with seatrout…
We are having the best run of seatrout for over 20 years and if we get the rain that is forecast over the next few days and get a fresh flood in the river it will be alive with trout. There a lot of big trout in the lakes. If we get the flood there will be fresh trout there also. Trout of up to 5 lbs have already been caught .
