On Sunday the 26th the Rex Beaumont cup was fished on the lake.  Anglers reported a very good hatch of May Fly along the Belvedere shore.  This hatch was accompanied by the sound of music coming off the shore from the 6000 plus fans attending the live musical festival at Belvedere House and Gardens.

In all 26 anglers landed 8 fish and reported returning a lot of small fish during the day.  The results are as follows,

  1. Ollie Mahedy won the day with a fish of 4lbs 6 ozs.
  2. Mick Malone with a fish of 2lbs 11ozs.
  3. Allen Tyrrell with a fish of 1lb 5ozs.
  4. Gerry Cleary with a fish of 1lb 3ozs.
