Michael Flanagan reports that last Friday night Lough Ennell Trout Preservation Association hosted the Jimmy Nea Cup. This is Ennell’s only evening competition and quite a number of anglers ventured out.

Anglers were expected a few fish to move as darkness fell, as there were good hatches of Murroughs and Peters. As it turned out the trout were having none of it, and failed to show up on the night.
