Lindsey Clarke reports that water levels remained very low on the Drowes all week…
The gauge on Monday was only reading 0.36 metres and by Sunday this had dropped to 0.34 metres. This is about as low as you will ever see the Drowes! The weather was also sunny although air temperatures were more bearable than the previous week.
The fishery was quiet and only a few rods fished over the week. There were some 8 grilse caught for the week. Niall McIntyre reported a 4lb grilse caught on a spinner from below the Four Masters Bridge and Marty King recorded an 11lb salmon caught from the Sea Pools on prawn.
We still await some meaningful rainfall!
