Skippers Billy and Joe Byrne report that there has been some fantastic tope fishing of late off Courtown. Some lovely tope have been caught by anglers on board the Brazen Hussey II and the Puffin, boating fish of 41lbs and 43lbs within 15 minutes of each other. Fishing conditions have been ideal and mackerel fillets have been producing the fish which are in spectacular condition. Tope have even been taking mackerel off the feathers as anglers have been bringing them to the surface.
